PRESSURE SEWERAGE

Client:  Priority Sewerage Program Alliance

Project:  Buxton Bargo Sewerage Scheme

Value:  $9M>

The Bargo & Buxton Wastewater Scheme provided improved wastewater services to un-sewered urban communities.

CBK were specifically involved in the property works installations, extensive service locating activities and horizontal directional drilling works. On site works involved replacing over 1100 existing septic tank systems with new on-site pump and pressure sewerage collection network. These works involved excavation for pressure sewer tanks in back yards, tight access excavation using small excavators, trenching, PE piping and welding, concreting and extensive landscaping / restoration works. Crews also installed property discharge lines using trenchless techniques such as Grundomat boring and Horizontal Directional Drilling with our Ditchwitch drill rig.

Other works contracted to CBK were the air release facilities, carbon canisters and vent shafts for the project.

Working to a tight program, CBK was able to exceed the clients program requirements in a challenging service riddled environment.

Project:  Appin Waste Water Scheme

Value:  $4M>

The Appin Wastewater Scheme provided improved wastewater services to un-sewered urban communities.

CBK completed on site works to replace over 600 existing septic tank systems with an on-site pump and pressure sewerage collection network. These works involved excavation for pressure sewer tanks in back yards, tight access excavation using small excavators, piping and welding, concreting and extensive landscaping / restoration works.

CBK service locating crews were chosen for extensive locating and non-destructive excavation as part of a safety initiative on the project.

CBK were also contracted to build the barometric loop for the project (part of the sewer reticulation) which involved valves and specialty fabricated pipework.Crews went on to complete the installation of air release facilities, carbon canisters and vent shafts.

As the 3rd pressure sewer project for the company, CBK was able to meet the clients construction requirements whilst working in a challenging home environment.

"CBK have worked on various projects I have supervised for the past four years and I can’t speak highly enough of them. They always deliver whatever is asked of them, and most importantly the quality of the work they perform is impeccable. Their personnel really know their stuff and are friendly, obliging and never complain; their equipment is always reliable and current, and their reputation for safety and enviro control is outstanding. All round I regard CBK as one of the most professional subcontracting companies to deal with, and would be pleased if they where on every one of the projects I supervised".

– Tony Newman, UGL Supervisor

Both Paul and I would like to thank the work crew who performed the work of sewer construction to our property. We would like to comment on the way in which this work crew undertook their work in such an expert and professional manner. Every aspect of their work, such as underground drilling and excavating the pit for the holding tank, was handled without any complications. After the completion of this work the crew cleaned up the entire work site leaving our property better than its original state. Please pass on a big thank you and a job well done by this crew from Paul and myself".

Project:  Three Towns Sewerage Scheme

Value:  $2.1M>

In March 2009 Sydney Water implemented pressure sewerage technology to service the villages of Glossodia, Freemans Reach, Wilberforce and Agnes Banks and improve the quality of water discharged from existing septic systems.  CBK undertook on site works to replace approximately 400 existing septic tank systems with an on-site pump and pressure sewerage collection network. These works involved excavation for pressure sewer tanks in back yards, tight access excavation using small excavators, trenching, piping and welding, concreting and extensive landscaping / restoration works.

On a rough calculation CBK crews would of located and potholed approximately 1600 individual services to undertake the works safely.

As one of a number of pressure sewer projects undertaken by CBK, the crews excelled in a challenging environment with the utmost care taken to accommodate and restore individual residents properties following disruptive works.
